For fun, Yunior, likes to play soccer. When he grows up, he wants to be a teacher.
Yunior lives with his mother, his 3-year-old sister, and his grandparents. His father left him when he was 9 years old and started a new family, so he does not receive any help from him. His mother is currently unemployed, which worsens their financial situation. The only economic help Yunior receives is from his grandmother, who has a small grocery store. There is also no nearby school where Yunior lives, so he must walk long distances to be able to study, which is a risk for the child. Yunior is at City of Refuge because he wants to become a teacher so he can help his siblings and the children in the community. He enjoys spending time with other children at IMI.
