When she grows up, she wants to be a civil engineer.
Emely, 16-year-old, and her younger sister Nathaly, 8-year-old, live with their father after their mother passed away in 2021. Their father works as a delivery man, which requires him to travel long distances. As a result, the girls often stayed with their grandmother. However, due to Emely’s age, their grandmother could no longer care for them effectively. Consequently, their father began taking them along on his travels, sometimes sleeping on the road, which put their safety at risk.
Given these circumstances, their father requested that the City of Refuge take in Emely, believing she would be in a safe environment. Emely, who is very shy due to her mother’s death, enjoys studying and is now very happy to have a place where she can rest and play.
